Method of Chhath Puja Vrat
The various rituals of Chhath Puja Vrat are performed on the bank of any holy river or near to any fresh water place.
The puja of chhath is performed for four days where fasting starts from second day and continues till fourth day.
Fruits, kheer and sweets are offered to deities and distributed among family members and other people as Prasad.
After this, fast is kept till fourth day and that too without drinking water.
Fourth day’s morning devotees worship Lord Sun from the bank of river by offering fruits, rice, vermillion, sandalwood etc and distributed a Prasad and then devotee ends the fast.
